ATWT question. Can someone tell me about Gwen and the demo?

Can someone tell me why Gwen didn't want to finish the demo? I understand that there was something that happened that she she doesn't want to go back to the past and get involved with the demo, but I didn't know what happened. If you could let me know I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
