Can u actually comment or present your views on the following mahatma gandhi speech?

On August 8, 1942 Gandhi in a Congress meeting at Gowalia tank, Mumbai gave the call to British to 'Quit India'. He asked his followers to resort to peaceful means. Lord Linlithgow, Viceroy was trying to get Congress support for the War effort. Congress was in a mood to bargain on this point. Though Congress under Gandhi was against Hitler's Fascism, and supported UK on that count, it wanted 'total independence' for the support to UK.
