My atiel is broken :/?

Yeah, me and my girlfriend bought two atiels.. because they're store bought they're a lil jumpy and we're still in the process of taming them.. Today whilst keeping my hand in the cage I noticed mine, named Boba (Fett :D), didn't back away and fly off onto the other perch like Pingu did.. which obviously I thought was an imporvment, but when let out of the cage, Boba sorta half glided to the floor and just walked around all day. Obviously I'm suspecting that he's hurt his wing somehow, especially seeing as to get him back in the cage we had to pick him up to get him back...I also noticed that he seems to be holding his left wing a tiny bit lower. I don't know a lot about birds but this presumably could be quite serious? We can't just take him to the vet to be checked out due to the cost, but we can if it's really serious, what can I do?
