Bad spelling, worse grammar: Being cool, lack of education or just don't care?

Short hand typing in your free times creates bad habits that carry over to your professional life. You text to your friend BRB and end up telling your boss is their project makes you LOL. I think a slect few are okay, such as lol, because when you're chatting it's kind of old to keep putting: laugh out loud. I think it's also okay to write IM instead of instant message, however, this is pretty much where it stops. I think it takes more time to figure out how to type what you mean short hand than it does to just type the whole thing. It also makes you look just plain silly!
