Do i need an amp in my car?

im going to have 2 10" kicker comp vx subs in my 92 prelude....do i absolutly need an amp? or could i live for while with the subs in untill i can buy the right amp? and also what ampwould you recomend fro 2 10" kicker comp vx subs?
