Does anybody else think that the 3-D movies are already over-used?

I'm not a fan of the 3-D movies. It seems that around every corner they are trying to shove it down our throats. I understand that it is in 2-D, but I can't help to think that because they are shooting in 3-D as well, it is driving up the cost of movie tickets. Does anybody else think this 3-D trend should bite the dust now, or am I just being cynical?
